Wood & Restoration
TurningRestoringCraftsmanship

Handcrafted woodwork and expert restoration rooted in tradition. We bring heirloom pieces back to life and create new ones built to last generations.

Our Approach

The Craft

Three tools define our shop. Each one represents a discipline we've spent years refining.

The Lathe

Precision Turning

Every turned piece begins with a blank and ends with something singular. We work with domestic hardwoods — walnut, cherry, maple, oak — as well as reclaimed and exotic timbers when the project calls for it. No two pieces are ever exactly alike.

The Hand Plane

Bespoke Builds

New work made the old way. We design and build custom furniture to commission — dining tables, cabinets, shelving, and more — using traditional joinery and surface techniques that produce pieces built to outlast their owners.

The Wood Grain

Knowing the Material

Good woodwork starts with good wood. We source timber carefully, read grain patterns, and select stock that will move and finish predictably. The wood tells you what it wants to be — our job is to listen.

What We Do

Our Services

Three disciplines, one workshop. Whether you need something turned, restored, or built from scratch — we do it properly.

Turning

The Lathe & Beyond

Precision turning for functional and decorative pieces — from a single spindle to a full set of table legs.

Custom Wood Turning

Bowls, vessels, and hollow forms turned by hand on the lathe — each one unique in grain and form.

Spindles & Table Legs

Replacement or custom-matched spindles, balusters, and furniture legs turned to spec or period style.

Decorative Turnings

Finials, knobs, pulls, and architectural details turned from your choice of domestic or exotic hardwoods.

Restoring

Breathing New Life

We restore antique and heirloom furniture with the respect and patience it deserves — invisibly where possible.

Furniture Restoration

Antique and heirloom pieces stripped, repaired, and refinished to original or refreshed glory.

Structural Repairs

Loose joints, broken rails, missing elements — rebuilt with period-correct joinery that lasts decades.

Period-Correct Finishing

Hand-rubbed shellac, oil, wax, or lacquer — matched to the era and character of your piece.

Craftsmanship

Built to Last

Bespoke new work made with the same unhurried attention as every restoration — no shortcuts, no compromise.

Bespoke Custom Builds

Commission a piece designed and built to your space, your taste, and your timeline — start to finish.

Live Edge & Slab Work

Natural slabs, live edge tables, and raw-to-finished timber work that celebrates the wood's own character.

Traditional Joinery

Mortise & tenon, dovetails, and hand-cut joints — furniture made to be passed down, not replaced.
